Good family double drama!

Good family double drama!

Iceland seems to many Europeans and Americans to be on nearby Mars, a society of strange nature and even stranger people because of the country's comparative isolation.

The film refutes the "strangeness" of Icelanders, confirming the old rule from Anna Karenina that "happy families are alike, but unhappy families are different." You will be satisfied with the scenario, however trivial, although the drama is not single, but double. You will be even more pleased with the acting of the actors, even though they are not claiming an Oscar.

And despite my praise, this is a film that warrants a few days of reflection, but not repeat viewing.

Above average rating: 6.0.

How to make others suffer
pembekeci22 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
One of those movies that says; "Hey! All wives out there! If you have any problem with yourself, your family, your husband, your kids, your career or whatever it is, just go bang someone and all your problems will fade!" :)))

Ok just joking!... Not really!... She solved lots of problems with one action like pulling a band aid!... Or did she?

The minute husband says that "This guy first banged my wife and now my daughter?! He is my age!" was very sad... I don't know even one word of icelandic but at that scene, the actor summarized the character with the tone of his voice and the look. The look of the wife to him was full of pittiness and you know she was sorry (familiar cliche).

Movie doesn't help audience to understand the motive with making others who love you to suffer that much but shows some circumtances afterward to be faced. So, maybe you can avoid these situations not to face those circumtances. But I think it always be a misery to know how not to put yourself in such situations.

I know that it's going to be a little bit cliche but personally I couldn't understand what caused them to live through with these desperate events while it was possible to share, communicate and progress more all together.

Please watch it to see how people fools themselves selfishly. Absolutely worth to watch.
