In the final shoot-out scene between the police and Visser's gang, Job is holding out some sort of cast-iron pan or wok to draw the fire of a gangster armed with an automatic assault weapon. Several shots are heard in rapid succession, pinging off the pan. The kinetic energy of these fired at close range from such a weapon would have snapped the pan clean out of Job's hand.
Touching unknown fungi in a petri dish without gloves, even with the lid on, is not a smart thing to do.
Near the end of the shoot up, Job shoots a crim who was just about to shoot Van der Valk. A bit risky though. The crim was in between them so the bullet would likely pass straight through and hit Van der Valk.
Note: Apparently 'crim' is a fashionable word for 'criminal'.
