Improvement
lwio196031 March 2020
This was improvement on the last two episodes, not as good as the first but getting better. I suspect this show could have really been done better in 30 or maybe 45 minutes. There was a bit of filler. The acting as usual was great and technical standards, including special effects, was very good. They story just needed a bit more umph. Still a worthwhile watch but still not as good as I expected.

ET stays to help a human girl

Warning: Spoilers
I don't understand a lot of the harsh criticism others are making in reviewing this show. I can only guess they had ridiculously high expectations because Spielberg's name is attached to it and it's produced by Apple and I guess they expect uber-wealthy Apple to sync a billion dollars into each episode. This was a very interesting story with a twist about a woman in a coma being rejoined with her daughter after an unexpected awakening. It did start out to be very slow but once things got going the alien plot line was entertaining.

Coma power a new transformation! Strange episode that has you wondering about the call!
blanbrn30 March 2020
This episode 4 from "Amazing Stories" the new "Apple TV+" series called "Signs of Life" is one interesting and strange episode of freedom, love, and new life. The tale involves Alia(Sasha Lane from "American Honey") an inner city girl who all of a sudden has her life turned upside down when her mom Sara finally awakes from a coma after a long 6 years. All of a sudden it's like Sara has special powers to work with and befriend other coma patients. Plus Sara has learned things it's like her mind is a talking computer as she even has math on the brain. Also look for Josh Holloway in this episode, overall strange tale and the episode twist at the end it has you the viewer making your own call.

Took 40 min for the last 5 to be worth it

Wow, it took a really long build up. Slight twist from what I expected, but not much. 1st episode was awesome. But down hill from there.

I hope they luck into a second season so that maybe they can regroup and bring some great stories. At worse, episode 1 got my kids interested in the show. So we now watch the originals too. Granted, not all if those were gone rubs, but quite a few were....even after 36 years of watching it the first time.

Better than the last couple of episodes.

2 out of 5 stars.

Better than the last few. Interesting twist. And story but is stuck in a dull direction. And a little boring.

It's full of mysterious thrills starting from the first moment, good plot and idea, keeps you guessing and wondering all the episode. Well done.

Better Than 1 and 2 Anayway...Minor Spoilers
mildbillt-5-66599830 January 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Pretty decent story when taken in the whole, but very plodding and uneventful path to get there. Acting was adequate, but many unintentional stereotypes. The young "heroes" had to resort to drug dealing and theft to get what they needed. Is that the only way colored people can get money? Very unwoke. Also had two nit picks...

1. The girl travels from Chicago, IL to Aniston, AL on a bus and back in presumably a few hours? That's a 10 hour straight drive and Greyhound buses do NOT drive express often. My only experience on one from N Florida to Richmond, VA found me STILL in Florida after 16 hours!

2. Defibrillators can be used to fix gunshot wounds and revive people?

Such laziness in writing I cannot tolerate.

Just plain bad

Why did I keep watching and wasting my time? I guess I kept waiting for it to get better, but it never did. This episode made no sense at all. I would recommend skipping it and not wasting your time on it.
