Sylvia Kamutjemo a young woman working as a domestic worker, is pregnant and separated from the love of her life by an invisible white line that will divide an already divided country.
Pieter de Wet, an Afrikaner police officer, is conflicted between his sense of duty to his job, race and the love of his life, Sylvia. They are forced to make difficult choices that will have ripple effects in the future for their unborn child, Godfried Jr.

Anna-Marie Van Der Merwe, is a very traditional Afrikaner woman who is hell bent on keeping her culture as pure and as untainted as possible. She is married to Jan Van Der Merwe, a man who is timid but has an unconventional view of the world. Anna-Marie goes to extreme lengths to put an end to her brother, Pieter De Wet's, relationship with the kaffir woman, Sylvia, who also happens to be her maid because her childhood friend Sunet is the ideal sister in-law.
Gotfried Kamutjemo, Sylvia's father, is a by-product and victim of the Old Location uprising and is wheelchair bound with an intense hate for the white oppressors. Gotfried, is a widow whose wife was shot and killed in the uprising leaving him dependent on Sylvia and his niece Jacobine.
Unotjari Katupose, is a very stern, responsible man who has been in love with Sylvia, his neighbour, ever since he laid eyes on her. He will go against his own moral beliefs to win her over.
The White Line is a riveting untold love story between a man and woman who do not see race and colour, subconsciously going against society's norms and find solace in love in an era where love was restricted to you only loving your kind.
The White Line will shed light on the untold love stories during Apartheid putting in motion what is predominantly now the new Namibia.
