Gretel and Hansel talk while sitting on a bed in the foreground. On the adjoining bed in the background a cat stands up and jumps to the floor. However the cat reappears on the bed and disappears several times throughout the scene.

In a scene where Gretel and Hansel are talking on their beds, the cat sitting adjacent to Gretel is seen jumping off the bed. In following sequential scenes that cut back to her, the cat is seen sitting back on the bed, but later is not there again.

The position of Gretel's right index finger when she is crouching near the tree to talk to her brother: up on her cheek, then she makes a fist in the wide shot, then again up on her cheek in the next closeup shot.

When the devilish character is shot through the back of its head, Gretel could not have had the time to duck and avoid the seemingly unstoppable arrow.

In Gretel second dream, in the room whit the dead bodies, and the whispering voices saying "Don't look at us". You can see a drain pipe on the wall. That did not exist in the time period the story is.

Hansel's cap is purple; it was a very rare color as the dye was very expensive.

The younger witch is shown with various tattoos of magical symbols on her body, particularly stars and the pentagram. However, she also strangely has what looks like a Star of David on her arm, which symbolizes the Jewish faith and is not connected to sorcery.
