Completely Underwhelmed

As an avid watcher of The Great British Baking Show I was determined to keep watching after Mary Berry, Sue, and Mel departed the show last season. However, I must say after two whole seasons I still find myself underwhelmed with the performance of Prue as a judge and the direction the show has gone. This final was the most underwhelming of all the finals that preceded it. I, and everyone I have spoken to about this final, believe judge favoritism and ratings/higher entertainment value played far too big of a role in the determination of this final. Perhaps it was the way it was shot but I didn't appreciate the challenges set forth whatsoever. I'll continue watching the show but it has completely lost its original zeal and magic for me.

Honestly, how crap is your life that you would whine so hard about someone winning a competition that you're not even in? I was thrilled with the winner. Even the other two contestants weren't as upset as the reviews here. Maybe a baking show isn't for you. I love the judges, I love the hosts. Bravo.

Season 6 was the first season of this title I've ever watched. I enjoyed the hosts and also the judges Prue & Paul. What I don't understand is that Rahul, the whiny boy child in this seasons episodes 1 - 10, won! Unbelievable! Rahul was there for the entire season but you knew by his attitude he didn't have the confidence to win. Paul even said the same thing, several times over several episodes. The Great British Baking Show is OFF my list! I wouldn't waste a dollar on any other episodes!
