Trivia Directing debut of actress Kata Dobó, who had not prior experience directing film or television. The Hungarian press criticized the Hungarian National Film Fund's decision of still funding the film, especially because it was a well-known fact that Dobó was the former girlfriend of Andrew G. Vajna (Hungary's film commissioner and the unofficial head of the Hungarian National Film Fund), making the support of the movie look like a decision not based on her directing qualities. When asked about it in an interview, Vajna stated that Dobó is a talented filmmaker and because she appears in the stage version it was "automatic that she'll make the film version". Vajna died a few weeks before the release of the film. See more »
