Feel good factor sold well

"Lonappante Mamodeesha" Malayalam movie Village simpleton 'Lonappan' with his three unmarried sisters, his unsuccessful watch repairing shop, his failed ambitions, his frustrations, his inner thoughts regurgitating to evoke melancholy, his story telling ability ... this is the one line story of Lonappan. Jayaram - our hero after a string of movie failures, has proved successful again, to be an innocent villager, reminding us of 'Manasinakkare'. Story is well woven to keep the essence of emotions. 7.5 for this feel good presentation. Story telling as a profession ... is nicely presented to the audience. Santhi Krishna and Nisha Sarang as elder sisters lived the characters very well. Emotional drama with comical interludes laced and great deal of reality touch. Title could have been "The Chronicles of Lonappan"

Lonappan shines well !

Happy to see Jayaram finally in a sensible movie (after a very long time), which was particularly tailor-made for him. The movie narrates through the life of Lonappan, his numerous set backs and how he rediscovers the positive outlook towards life to overcome the obstacles. Although the story pattern has nothing new to offer as it sounds, the cinematography deserves full mark for its top class execution. Watch it without any hesitation, as Lonappan is one of the best movie released in Malayalam industry this year.

A Simple Movie with Good Message! Jayaram's Best in Recent times

Started seeing Lonappante Maamodisa with less expectation but film was very interesting. Thought this would be a usual foolish film with thrissur accent but the movie really made me watch this without any break. A good message to all people who have lost hope in their life and not in a mind to restart and rebuild. Story telling is something new to malayalees and this movie ensured we take it in the right spirit. Climax was cleverly worked out by the makers and it was a good impact on the audience. All the cast was good especially with the thrissur accent. Jayaram, Santhi Krishna and Nisha Sarang was so natural. Hareesh once again was success in making us laugh with good counters and Jayaram's combination with him was good. Expected pothen to be a little more important, but director was clever in breaking our expectations.

Too bad this was not recognized when it was in theaters. A good movie in malayalam after Rakshadhikari Baiju Oppu.

A naive, dawdling man in his 30s makes a couple of poor life decisions and Leo Thaddeus ends up making a film about him titled Lonappante Mammodheesa (Lonappan's Baptism) that is so annoying and stupid there's no sign of comeback for Jayaram. TN.

A director's masterpeice

Lonappante mamoodheesa... in my point of view is a great message with a small story. The narration without boredom is really the talent of the director.. The songs and the cinematography too is things get appreciated. The director is successful using the family superstar jayaram extracting his true potential as most of the directors failed to do that his recent films. This movie has none of a moment which distracts or dragged out from this movie which is a true success as a director and must get praised. Lonappante mammoodhesa is a true family entertainer and must one to watch for those who likes these genre.

Sadly Underrated Film

This movie was way too good than what i thought only drawback was the editing and camera issues in some parts ..very moving and heartfelt film. Jayaram has done an excellent job A VINTAGE JAYARAM FEEL

Purely underrated movie. I feel pity for the negative ratings and comments. I personally feel Jayaram made a wonderful comeback with his natural acting style. Never felt the lag in story and it is very simple to comprehend, hence all sorts of audience will be able to enjoy the pattern. Well done director

Lonappante mamodisa is one of the good feel good movies i ever watched..... Jayaram performance was truly appreciatable.... A good movie to watch, ..... Not having any Mass entertainment factors a small village feel good movie.
