- The Sommers and two friends from the kids, embark on their Summer vacation. The first stop is Tia Ruby's house. Upon arrival, as everyone stretches out of the car, Cholita (the mom) can sense things don't smell (literally) well. They hear dogs inside the house but Tia Ruby doesn't have dogs. The house looks messy, Tia Ruby can't be seen and they can't get into the house, so they decide to 'pitch a tent in the back.' The parents put the tents together as the kids explore the wonderful property on bikes and walks down the creek. While Ashley (the daughter) confesses to her rich friend Jessica that she likes Blake (her brother Jimmy's friend), as they are watching the boys from the distance, they see that Jimmy is pushed by Blake down in the water. They walk to them to find out that the reason why this happened is because Blake was telling Jimmy he liked his sister and that didn't go that well. In the meantime, back at the campsite, Cholita has her visions of the Chupacabra she always seems to be after. She won't let the Chupacabra get after her 'babies' so she begins her chanting routine. The kids get advice from the parents, especially the mom, on what to do should they see the Chupacabra. The night falls and Cholita begins to sense the Chupacabra again, which prompts her to begin her chants and dances. The morning comes and after a not very yummy breakfast, all six of them pack and get back in the car to their next stop: The Grand Canyon. As they do feelings and relationships built reveal, as well as Cholita declaring that Tia Ruby was eaten by the Chupacabra.
