Naive nun Sister Joan's limits of tolerance are tested as her Mother Superior's path to heaven through a mysterious forest seems increasingly like a path to hell.
A group of nuns, led by morally ambiguous Mother Corinne, travel through a mysterious forest to "the promised land". Slowly, each nun is tempted off the path by different horrific personifications of sin, leaving naive Sister Joan questioning her devotion. A dark, close-minded satire against close-mindedness.
