- It's implied that a man permits his wife to have an affair with his male secretary after the latter saves his life. An illegitimate son is born of this union, though all of this is relayed to the viewer as information rather than being shown on screen. An ancient Buddhist legend, where a monk is falsely accused of having a son with a much younger woman, is also recalled while a character appraises the former's artwork.
