John reports to Dr. Halsey "Returning from Twenty-Three Librae, Planet Madrigal." 23 Librae or 23 Lib is a star in Libra constellation. It is located about 83.7 light-years from our Sun. With an apparent visual magnitude of 6.45, it is not visible to unaided human eye. It has two planets, one of which could have been named Planet Madrigal for the series.

Goofs
As Vannak-134 melee's the Covenant Elite with the metal pipe, Jin Ha is seen shooting a AKM assault rifle. The rifle is well known for its visible bolt movement during shooting, but it is clearly not reciprocating despite visually edited casings are being ejected.

Pedestrian start, provides a platform

Good for an opener, sets the scene well and the raid is a good vehicle for this, it allows the viewer to understand the various factions and their place in the universe. The visual effects are workman-like though there are a few glitches, the acting is satisfactory albeit with some clunky delivery and the plot does the minimum with a few holes, notably around the girl's survival.
