A group of friends decide to stay in and tell tall tales that conjure vampires, killers, demons, and doom. Will it too late when they realize they're in a tall tale of their own?

Lily, an unhinged killer, struggles with her dark secret as Dr. Matthews probes her psyche to unravel her criminal impulses. Pushed far enough, she escapes by killing Dr. Mathews. Out in the rural area of Texas, she stumbles upon a group of friends staying in and telling tall tales.

Tony, an unmotivated millennial, has run out of good-will from her successful friend, Ryan and is being thrown out. Tony seizes on a mix-up of identities to claim Ryan's inheritance and run off with Ryan's fiancé. Tony and the unfaithful fiancé meet their doom in a quiet Texas parking lot at the hands of creatures with eyes as black as the night.

Kimberley and her politician husband, David, are in a sham marriage. David, a gay conservative in Red meat Texas, happily lives the lie while Kimberley struggles with her needs. All wound up, she tempts the help. David finds out and puts an end to it. But it doesn't end there. A supernatural form kills both of them and assumes the form of David, to wreak havoc on the world.

Ludwig is a talented songwriter aspiring to be a lead singer in a band, but the thing is, he can't sing. This leaves him in the shadows of others desperate to sing. He's approached by a demon offering him whatever he wants, and gives him the power to sing. He's launched to stardom but discovers the love of his life was killed by her abusive boyfriend. Realizing he could've saved her with his wish, he's trapped in his fame. Be sure of what you want, before its too late.

As the women finish their tales of vampires, demons, and doom, Lily kills them one by one. Brenda's children barge onto the scene, hurling Lily into a full blown flashback revealing her murderous past of drowning her children to be with a man. Brenda uses the distraction, and plunges a knife into Lily. As Brenda comforts the children, Lily makes her escape as sirens blare louder to the scene.
