They say that nobody has gotten into The Good Place for over 500 years, however in one episode Michael says that Abraham Lincoln was in The Good Place, which would have been about 160 years before.
Janet and Michael are surprised that Doug has so few points, however it would make sense for him to have few points because he is trying to get into the Good Place. Therefore, his motivation would be corrupt.
