Who killed Adam?
Sleepin_Dragon14 May 2020
A woman boards a houseboat for a rendezvous with her lover, but he's dead, and she leaves the scene after contacting The Police.

I thought this was perhaps the best episode to date, it was the most dramatic episode so far. Full of twists and turns, confessions and clues. You will be kept guessing with this one.

The story of Billie getting deeper and deeper with Amber is great. The pair are so good.

The only gripe, is that ringing phone, it is so off putting, every single scene you hear that phone ringing, unnecessary.

Very good, 8/10.

Warning: Spoilers
Turns out that fighting brothers at their father's funeral morphs into a brother confessing to a murder that someone else committed. So glad that they got that sorted out in the end.

Meanwhile in other news, more information on Bradford's disappeared wife has shown up on recovered CCTV footage. The trainee continues to play a dangerous game with the witness.

OK, not great

A murder on a houseboat leads to a complicated set of relationships to the victim. The team follows-up and finds the culprit routinely and linearly. Not a very satisfying story.

Vivienne shows again she is misanthropic, lacks empathy and is spiteful, either that or she is incompetent as a police officer.

A small step is made in the overarching wife investigation which puts some pressure on Billie.

Blood Lines
Prismark1014 July 2019
Acorn TV who produce London Kills have certainly decided to show a modern take of London. There are shots of skyscrapers in the London skyline, bright weather and it certainly looks like a Metropolis.

Blood Lines is the best episode of the series so far with several red herrings.

Newly married Eleanor Kemp is having an affair with dishy doctor Adam Garrick. When she visits him in his houseboat she finds him dead and calls the police.

The murder investigation team initially arrest Eleanor but it seems her husband suspects his wife of having an affair. Also Adam had a blazing row with his homeless, estranged brother on the day of their father's funeral.

Paul Marquess who has created London Kills was also a longtime producer of the television series The Bill. It shows here in the economy of the storytelling. Very little is superfluous and is all tightly done.
