Kingsley Ben-Adir in Bob Marley: One Love (2024)

Goofs

Bob Marley: One Love

Edit

Continuity

Just prior to the flashback scene where the Wailing Wailers first audition at Studio One, Bob Marley looks at a Wailing Wailer's album cover. On the album cover, Bunny Wailer is the shortest in the group (as he was in real life). In the next scene Bunny Wailer is the tallest in the group.

Factual errors

One shot shows "Exodus" in the charts. "Hotel California", just above it, is credited to "The Eagles". The band name is "Eagles."

Incorrectly regarded as goofs

When Don Taylor and Bob Marley fight, Taylor says, "I took six bullets for you". They were shown being attacked by a gunman with a revolver. Two bullets hit Marley, so Taylor would have been hit by four at most. This apparent goof can be explained. The film only showed a single gunman attacking them. In fact, there was a second gunman not shown who also fired, which explains where the extra bullets came from.

Anachronisms

Bob Marley calls the USA from a UK payphone in 1977. DDI was available in 1971, but it wasn't available at payphones until 1981, when calling cards became available in the UK.
In a scene set in 1977, Bob Marley walks on the platform and up the escalator at the Jubilee Line interchange of Charing Cross station. That interchange opened in 1979.
