Awesome story but want more!

Thought the film was really well done (the music was so moving!) and shot very well for a doc. My only knock is I would have liked to see a more complete picture of the town. Maybe part 2 or a series? Definitely worth a watch
well done

Eye opening

Saw this at the Whistler Film Festival. Wild ride that I was not expecting to be happening in this country from the continued racism this town faces to the pimp culture that was bred. Sobering look at the realities of segregated communities.
Interesting and thought provoking

Saw this at a festival in Toronto a few weeks ago and still thinking about it. An all black community in the middle of the woods that has been around for so long yet nobody knows about. I feel for the people of the community and all they've endured. Hope Just Chase makes it !
Redundant, lame and phoney

Watching this documentary is like watching an episode of the Trailer Park Boys except nothing is funny or compelling. This has to be the most scripted documentary pretending to be real. It's as if the filmmakers needed a job so they pretended to be interested in the subject matter just to get the government of Canada to give them tax money to fund this lame documentary. Most of the reviews here are probably from the filmmakers themselves or their family because this was the most boring, lame and cringe documentary I ever saw. Avoid. Watch King of Kong instead.
Well rounded & entertaining

Just goes to show that talent can find a way to break through against the odds. Remarkable story about a little known town with a rich history. Sad to see some of the crime that has developed, but not surprising considering they have all gone through. Rooting for Chase to make a difference in his community when he finds success
Astonishing and moving

Saw it as the closing film at the Canadian Film Festival. An edgy and intimate journey into Canada's pimp and drug capital (who knew?). Just Chase's personal story goes deep, but it's unsettling to witness his friends' bravado. (Thankfully, some women owned and abused by the pimps don't let them off the hook.) A layered insight into a really troubled town, and I ended up feeling pretty hopeful. North Preston's citizens close the film with a dignity that brought me to tears. Great soundtrack.
A revelation of a little known truth

A nuanced look at a town filled with contradiction. Struggling to find its voice as are the people we meet in this eye opening film. Brought me through a myriad of emotions and wanting to know more and continue the conversation.
Never knew this existed in Canada!

This movie tells a gruesome eye opening story of a small town in the East Coast of Canada where pimps and prostitution is at its back bone. Very eye opening and raw! Highly recommend it but not for the faint of heart.... 10/10
What a story
