Catherine was never in the palace to be ejected by Margaret Beaufort. Henry VII himself offered her Durham House which was a far cry from the "cheap and shoddy" shack seen here. Durham House was a grand manor with a chapel, private apartments and gardens that extended down to the riverbank.
