I love this episode not only because it's setting is pretty much my backyard, but also because it's an awesome example of just how unpredictable the weather can be in the Great Smoky Mountains!!! Especially in the off months through spring and fall, it's incredibly cold at night at times, and can be blistering hot during the days. Mixed in with the abundance of black bears and other creatures and critters, some of which can be deadly, it makes for an exciting ride through downpours and wind chill factors at night without a good fire, getting wet and freezing, risking hypothermia and worse!!! But to me, it's just another day in the woods!!! I live in a little log cabin in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mo years now, and it's no joke!!! This is a great episode!!! .
