While making this movie the filmmaker was plagued by his usual bad luck. He'd just borrowed a lot of money to buy a then very expensive Sony PD170 and on the very first day he brought it outdoors for an alley shot fate struck hard. It was a very windy day and the filmmaker was reluctant to let his firm grip of the camera go, even though it sat on a tripod. However, a gasp of wind caught the script and pages started flying around the ally so the auteur let go of the camera for five seconds. Meanwhile another whiff caught the flimsy tripod and smashed the brand new camera to the ground...
Later in post-production, one late night while editing, the computer literally blew up! Yes, there was a small explosion about two feet from the poor guy's left ear. Turns out it was the power supply of the PC that blew up. He managed to save the hard drive and thus the film.
