(at around 1h 42 mins) Observed from the rear, Piller shifts the champagne glass to his left hand as he receives the newspaper with his right. When the camera angle changes, the paper is in his left hand and the glass in his right.
The Colonel is wearing three stars (pips) on his shoulder which denotes the rank of Captain. He should be wearing one crown and two stars.
