After a negative reception at its 2019 Cannes premiere, director Abdellatif Kechiche withdrew the film from a commercial release and claimed that further edits needed to be done. As of 2022, the movie hasn't been released to the public and it's unlikely it will ever be, given the controversy surrounding it and Kechiche.
