This show somehow works despite being poorly written trash

Riverdale, at least from the second season onward, has been hot garbage. But the story is so absurd, the writing is so tragically clunky, and the drama is so grotesque that it's amazing. I want to hate this show, but I can't look away. In the first few minutes of every episode I wonder how such badly written dialogue could make it to air, or how such crudely drawn characters can remain entertaining week after week. But by the end I'm always cheering at some laughable yet satisfyingly moment, or staring in shock at what ridiculous events just took place. Riverdale is the prettiest dumpster fire that ever made it to prime time, and it doesn't look like it's going out any time soon.

A good start to a new season.

They gave us more than we asked for. Some horror moments. Some romantic moments. Some parent issue moments. Friendships etc etc. The small intro of the possibly new villain was very good.

Well, I guess Sabrina is coming...?

Warning: Spoilers
This episode was mostly about Archie and his trial, which was written quite well. It was less about the actual trial and more of the last days of Archie's final day as a free man. But I don't understand why Archie did what he did, but I liked that Keller and FP decided to fight together with Fred for Archie.

Towards the end... I mean. What? Flying babies and The Gargoyle King. It really took an unexpected turn there, but I guess it's because of the whole Sabrina thing, which I'm extremely stoked about. I just hope that Riverdale stays as grounded to non-magic as possible and let Sabrina do her magic-thing.

Overall, I liked the episode, there weren't a lot of new things that happened. FP was all about the "we're Serpents, Jughead, weeho" and all that, Mary said hi and then left as usual, Fred is concerned as usual, Penny is that annoying Jack in the box... Hiram was Hiram, nothing more to say about him, really. It sounds like I absolutely hate this show, but I really like it.

But yeah, an 8/10 for effort, can't wait to see more.

Lots of Standout Moments and Eye Candy

*Phew* This is one hot season premiere! Lots of beautiful things roaming my screen and lots of standout and winning moments as well. From Archie Andrews' picture-perfect physique (because, why not?), Cheryl's bombshell entrance, that Katniss Everdeen moment, a captive Hot Dog (not what you think), a cult (Hello, Sabrina?) and riveting trial! So many stuff going on and I don't want to discuss much further, this is something that must not be missed and must be seen ASAP if you are an avid Riverdale fan.

We still know it's Riverdale but changes have come we feel it. Tension has risen and it's gonna get higher. Make way for a great season. A great way to spend a Wednesday night. Ready for next week.

So weird

Warning: Spoilers
The episode started out fine. Then these teenagers started to act like 30 year olds in the 70s again. And in the last two minutes they made like 4 wtf moments which I don't know how to feel about yet. This supernatural aspect could go either very bad or refreshing and good. We'll see.

Just bad

Warning: Spoilers
Honestly dreadful, not the actors fault as the characters and acting is good however the writing completely ruins everything, the attempt to relate to kids and seem believable completely backfires and achieves the opposite.... there are poor attempts at metaphors and dramatic irony... as I have watched season one and two I suspect I will end up watching all of season 3 unless it becomes extreamly bad but if you haven't seen any of it I would not recommend...

Meh.....

Not as good as I expected. A bit boring actually. And FINALLY put a T-shirt on Archie we don't have to see his abs for a third season!

The worst episode ever
rrrrr-9281311 October 2018
The episode was so bad, that I've singned up for the website just to write this review. There were to much plot lines that could be enough for the whole season. Also the lines were so bad so the acting was terrible. I hope that the rest of the season won't be like it.
