- Loner Harry K. has a habit of walking around his hometown at night taking photos of unconscious drunks that he sprinkles with theater blood, so that they look like victims of lethal violence. One day he finds a real corpse.
- Although Harry K. is not fully aware of what an average person is, he still has the distinct perception of not being one himself. In fact he is not integrated at all into the society he is living in. Harry K. has a passion for photography and he is working on an illustrated book with the programmatic title "A typical everyday corpse". The photos he is shooting for his opus all seem to show blood-smeared dead bodies which could be considered victims of lethal violent crimes. However, his motives are neither victims of homicides nor real corpses, but rather people who fell unconscious due to excessive drinking in the streets and alleyways of Harry's hometown. Whenever he finds suitable human material, he sprinkles the unconscious person with theater blood before taking a photograph with his old Zenith camera. Finally Harry K. finds a real dead girl, but considers her to be one of the usual drunken bodies. Suddenly Harry K's odd life is thrown totally out of joint. The short film "Eine alltagstypische Leiche" (A typical everyday corpse) is a Kafkaesque crime comedy for aesthetes and those who like to pretend they are one.—Christoph Gross
