When Olivia (Carla Gugino) returns to the Red Room and sees Abigail Olive Abercrombie on the floor, she drops to her knees right at the door. The next shot shows her dropping to her knees next to Abigail's body across the room.
When Olivia (Carla Gugino) gets her migraine in the reading room, she puts her book and teacup on the side table beside the teapot. When she returns a few minutes later from getting medicine from the kitchen, the teapot and cup are gone.
Throughout the series, actor Henry Thomas (Henry Thomas) wears a set of striking blue contact lenses when portraying young Hugh Crane. The fact that they are contact lenses and not his actual eyes, aside from looking somewhat unnatural compared to the other actors, is revealed the most during close-ups. During a close-up shot of his face during this episode, the circular outline of the contact lenses' edges against the whites of his eyes can be seen clearly. This is especially visible in the actor's right eye.
After the storm, the floor and window sills are littered with broken glass and leaves, but none of the windows are broken.
As Olivia (Carla Gugino) leaves for the airport in the penultimate episode, she rolls and visibly begins to spin her suitcase in a partial turn. Wheeled suitcases did not appear until the late 1980s, and upright suitcases with four-on-the-floor "spinners" that could be twirled were not available at the time shown.
Mrs. Dudley (Annabeth Gish) wrongly refers to the final book of the Bible as "Revelations" instead of "Revelation".
