Looking for a show to watch while waiting for new Black Mirror episodes, Room 104 has been routinely disappointing. However, this episode was 25 minutes of non-stop suspense and was executed perfectly. This episode along with "Pizza Boy" are probably the only episodes I would reccomend anyone to watch. Make sure you watch with a friend because you'll want to immediately discuss with someone :)

Gripping all the way through

Warning: Spoilers
It's no surprise Mr Mulvahill has one of the highest (if not the highest) imdb user review in the Room 104 episodes. Some of the Room 104 episodes start very well but end with a whimper. Mr Mulvahill is an exception and definitely one of the most memorable episodes of Room 104. The reveal mid-way through the episode could have given the episode an absurd direction, but the acting, writing and direction kept one guessing until the very end with its tense conclusion.

Episode 2 from season 2 of "Room 104" called "Mr. Mulvahill" is one that teases with drama and suspense as you think as the viewer you know where it's going only it twist in a dark like manner. It involves Jim(Rainn Wilson) a grown man who has memories of how his life was affected by an experience he had with his third grade music teacher Mr. Mulvahill(Frank Birney). And by writing him a visit and meeting is arranged in a room for both. And during this discussion which starts off well only to bring out past demons and turn to a shock and the tale takes a direction you didn't expect or see coming as it's hit and miss again for Jim more painful memories and sorrow.
The ending ruined the episode for me

The beginning of this episode starts off really good! The acting is great from Rainn Wilson showing more of his dramatic side (I'm used to him as "Dwight" from The Office). The episode is very tense, and you can feel the pain from Wilson's character as he reminds his old teacher of what happened between them in class when he was a kid. Unfortunately, the episode takes a sharp turn and stupid twist. I feel like the ending really ruined the momentum of suspense for me. It suddenly killed the drama and turned it into a dumb joke. I feel like a lot of episodes in this series starts off well and interesting, but then the ending (the twist) turns out to be stupid. I give this review a 4 out of 10.. I hope my review is helpful.
