Really. What does the Hungarian revolt have to do with tanks. Not a hell of a lot. So they were used, but what is is doing in this video. And then talking about taking the train in Berlin, again what does this have to do with tanks. And then Tiananmen square. Propaganda only.
It is easy to see that there is an awful lot of anti-Russian propaganda. Attacking the Russians for rearming, but that was in response to the US first with its atomic bomb, the Hydrogen bomb and NATO. So where do they mention this.
And among the things not discussed was the controversy of the Leopard tank being used by the US, the gun war where the US remained with the 105mm while UK went to a rifled 120 and Germany to a smooth bore 120. How the smooth bore gave advantages to both High Explosive Anti-Tank (HEAT) and the tungsten Armor-piercing fin-stabilized discarding sabot(APFSDS) rounds. How these different type of rounds worked, and the controversy over them. How the US eventually went to the 120, choosing the German over the UK gun. The armor revolution including spaced armor, and composite armor, including British Chobham. The changes in night fighting ability. All these technology changes. A lot of significant technology changes that so much impacted tank warfare.
They also only briefly talked about anti-tank missiles and the controversy they raised over the future of tank.
Next time get the Chieftain to be responsible for content instead of hack writers who know apparently almost nothing about tanks and cannot figure out that there is so much change during this period in tanks and tank warfare that should have been included.
