One thing after another. Very good.

Part Two literally picks up where the opener left off. The storytelling is such that you get drip fed parts of the story, and presumably several characters are lying, and hiding their motives. The main question for Tom, where's his daughter. The suspects for any possible crime are mounting up, with club owners and bouncers sharing suspicious glances and awkward looks galore. Plenty of intrigue, lots of twists and turns, everyone's lying, but why. Sia has dug herself in deeper, with a moment of madness, that's made the plot even more complicated.

Well acted on the whole, although a few dodgy scenes in Jo Jo's household.

Pretty gripping viewing. 8/10

Things Getting Worse!

This episode begins with Jojo and Lauren in a suite, they are having fun on their weekend away. Sia sees that Chris has been drowned in her swimming pool, he died of an overdose. Sia is responsible for the drug use. Zoe has been suspended from the school. Tom is still looking for his daughter, but all leads are a dead end. Sia smashed a bottle of wine Martin's head, he fell down. We see Bobby from the 80's club Heaven at the grave of Tom's wife. Nice episode of Safe Season 1, interesting development of this series: what does Bobby know about Jenny's disappearance?

Well, the boyfriend is in the freezer. The gay guy who is a suspect says he brought her back to the house. The teacher and mother of the dead kid has been suspended from her teaching job for lewd and lascivious behavior. The parents whose daughter had the party have the kid in the freezer and need to get rid of the body. The events concerning them are ridiculous. The police are intent. The man whose daughter is missing has been involved with one of the policewomen. Now, at the end, we are introduced to a man who runs a bar where the girl should not have been. This is pretty lightweight stuff. Coben is a plotter and I'll be interested to see how this all comes together.

One thing I forgot to mention in another episode was that I loved the opening song of this series.

Comic relief characters are important in a heavy series, but having an entire family focused on this device takes me away from this series every time they appear.

The mysteries that revolve around all the characters are still interesting, but because they focused more on comic relief in this episode, it got a little lost for me.
