Fun piece of Saturday night telly
back_ache6 December 2023
This was a nice piece of light Saturday night television, simple in format and fun to watch.

The panel of 100 judges was made singers of various disciplines and refreshingly hired for their technical skills (such as singing teacher from a notable music school) , ground-roots performance experience and diversity of music styles rather than their individual fame in fact for most people the only recognisable person (other than the host) was Geri "ginger spice" Haliwell .

Rob Beckett kept it pacey and funand the whole thing felt like a party

Judges like "Divina de Campo" then went on to be shows like RuPaul's drag race UK

all in all a great little show for what it was.

Very good singing show

It is a interesting and unique concept having a hundred judges to vote for the performances they like. The judges have each their unique personality and skills which brings a fun element into the show.

Awful

It's tripe like this that makes me glad I don't watch TV anymore. Aside from the fact that the performers are nearly always subpar, the falseness and Z-grade 'stars' that comprise the panel are all so fake that it makes it a truly painful experience. The only reason this show came into my conciousness was that it was on at my Mums house. Like karaoke but not funny.

Like live karaoke

Warning: Spoilers
Wow. TV needs another talent show like Ant and Dec need more NTAs. This show is basically just live karaoke, only instead of four stony-faced judges, you have to sing for 100 of them. The only recognisable member of the judging panel is Geri Halliwell, the erstwhile Ginger Spice, now a mum-of-two who does yoga and charity work.

The BBC lost the rights to the Voice two years ago, and have been trying to fill that void...Most have failed (Pitch Battle, anybody?). Let's hope this show fizzles out soon!

Saturday evening tripe!

'Celebrities' and people of no talent on the panel behaving OTT and self promoting 'dancing and singing' to equally unimpressive singing. BBC presents us with prime time Saturday trashy viewing again! Pity cos I thought The Best Dancer was so much better despite its reality format. Netflix and Prime again for me.
