one of the best "flashback" episodes I've seen

I'm usually a bit iffy on standalone flashback episodes--they feel disjointed from the main storyline--but this one was very well put together and had a lot of emotional impact, especially with the reveal at the end. It was sweet, tied into the central story toward the end, and provided a lot of necessary context for Jeff's relationships with his sons and what type of father he was.
