In the aerobics scene they state that Charles in Charge (1984) was canceled in 1985. The show ended its run in 1990, but it actually WAS cancelled after its first season in 1985, when GLOW is set to take place. It was later picked up in 1987 to run again in first-run syndication. So it is not a goof when they say it was cancelled.
Glow-bot's clip was holding the floppy disk with Brittanica's brain by the part where the actual inner disk was exposed, which likely would have erased the data.
