William is delighted when his dinner is paid for f-by incognito US Theodore Roosevelt, whom he promises discretion about privately sneaking into Ontario to hunt a fabled white moose, even if Julia openly disapproves of hunting, as of naming the baby after its ancestors. That changes when when Canadian dodge spy Terrence Meyers enlists Murdoch's help in solving a seemingly unrelated locked room murder as Murdoch soon uncovers a bizarre plot to assassinate the American president, which seems to be spearheaded by a legendary Spanish assassin, El Noche. The plot thickens as both William, who went to rescue Theodore with Terrence, and Crabtree and Brackenreid discover further corpses, worrying lies and secrets, setting the scene for a scary nocturnal wilderness shoot-out finale.
