¿Sabías que...?
- CuriosidadesWilliam talks about his bolograph, a device that "converts heat radiation into a graphic array." This is apparently an early version of a "night vision device," which was developed in the 1940s based on technology invented in 1929.
- PifiasGeorge Crabtree talks about "robotic arms." However, this episode takes place around 1904, and the word "robotic" was invented by Isaac Asimov in the 1940s. Furthermore, the word "robot" was not introduced until a Czech play by Karel Czapekc called "R.U.R.: Rossum's Universal Robots", first published in 1920 and first performed in 1921.

Detective William Murdoch: Where is my bolograph?
Terrence Meyers: Your what?
Detective William Murdoch: It converts heat radiation into a graphic array.
Inspector Thomas Brackenreid: You can see people in the dark.
Detective William Murdoch: Well, actually, sir, you can see the heat radiating off of their bodies, but... George!
Constable George Crabtree: Sir, I found it!
Detective William Murdoch: Where was it?
Constable George Crabtree: Sir, McNabb had taken it to help him shoot raccoons.
Inspector Thomas Brackenreid: Bloody McNabb. Big dozy git.
Detective William Murdoch: [to Crabtree] Thank you.
