SONG OF THE STARSLAYER is a would-be indie fantasy epic shot out in the wilds of New Mexico. If you're planning to watch this film, you're going to need a massive concentration span, because it clocks in in excess of a mind-numbing three hours. The usual genre tropes and cliches are trotted out in a typical good vs. evil tale, while the directorial style is limited to the occasional red filter. Needless to say that this is bogged down by dragged out plotting, school play props, wooden acting, and a general lack of FX. If it had any technical quality whatsoever it could have been interesting.
