You know when Attenborough is in the title you're in for a superlative episode of Natural World and this remarkable ant voyage is certainly up there. Sir David and a team armed with a bizarre souped-up camera rig nick-named "Frank" explores the life of a vast ant colony in the Swiss Jura mountains. That this enormous society farms, self-medicates, grows exponentially and is almost entirely peaceful is legitimately shocking and the Frank-photography is mind-melting in its detail and beauty. Aided by a game Attenborough who must have been bitten to pieces with his exuberant leaning, it really is an exemplary addition to his weighty canon.
