Edit

Continuity

When Ray brings in the pizza, Charlie closes his laptop, which is clearly visible when he picks up a slice. However when the camera moves to his back to follow Ray walking towards the kitchen, Charly's laptop is open and running as if it was never closed.

Factual errors

The initial scene shows empty BAU cubicles with computer monitors on and showing apparently the last thing the user was working on. Government agencies have strict rules to protect their databases. Technically every time one leaves their desk, the monitor should be locked with a password (as seen in the next scene in JJ's office). There is no way they would go home for the day and leave their computers up and running without password protection.

Plot holes

Assistant Director Barnes removed Prentiss as unit chief for allegedly not following FBI regulations and committing criminal acts to close cases. Then on the first case she works Barnes tells Lewis to fabricate a statement from one of the surviving roommates saying she believes Larry is without a doubt responsible for the murders, Barnes says this will help bolster the evidence against Larry. Doing that is not only against BAU and FBI procedure, it's a crime, specifically it is suborning perjury, which is a class E felony. She can't turn around and do the very thing she is accusing the BAU of doing in the past and expect to be taken seriously.
