Would like it to be actually about the Secret Service, SIS. Instead the last episode concentrated solely on SOE who not only had nothing to do with MI6, but were actually at loggerheads with them for most of the war.
MI6, SIS whatever you call them was all about collecting intelligence, SOE were all about blowing things up and killing the enemy which was the equivalent of kicking a wasps nest, and put the lives of SIS operatives in danger.
I was amazed in the first episode that there was not a single mention of Sidney Reilly, arguably the greatest spy of all times. Even Ian Fleming paid homage to this incredible man when asked if James Bond was just like real spies, he answered 'Oh no Bond is just fiction, I mean he is no Sidney Reilly'. James Bond actually belonged to MI3, Naval Intelligence.
