Several problems with this episode. They used dialogue like "hanging out" which wasn't used in the late 1950's, used the "F" word indiscriminately in dialogue where it shouldn't have been, and the worst part was playing Louie Armstrong's "It's A Wonderful World" as part of the musical soundtrack. That song wasn't out until 1967. Makes production value look cheap.

The best episode yet

The story seamlessly wove together many plot threads. The dialog was excellent. The scenes in Paris were sweetness personified. We saw real growth in all of the characters - both in personality & intellectual development. Best of all is that there are no easy, stereotyped solutions. Every line is nuanced and real. If you don't enjoy this episode, check your pulse.
I gushed over this episode

I've never watched an episode that has made me more happy than this one. The writing is so on the money and you can see how much quicker and improved it is so far than in season one, which is no easy task. The Abe/Rose storyline is so sweet and romantic, there's a scene in particular I can watch forever. Perfect episode
Just Gorgeous!

This episode had the pacing and flow of a fine tuned orchestra. Just beautiful art direction in every location, but especially Paris, bien sur. The actors play their characters like they genuinely love the parts. Everyone seems like they're having a great time. Yes, even the dog, drunken other reviewer before me. I had tears in my eyes by the end of this deeply romantic episode. Oh, Abe. Je t'aime.
Wow. Rodin, wine and Paris

Spotless

This was just plain masterful. Incredible cinematography. Wonderful use of the talents of Tony Shaloub as he meanders his way through the scenes. The wonderful use of settings, creating a lovely metaphor. Midge comes to the fore. One of the things that a good comedian, especially a female, must deal with is general disrespect. We see this all the time in this show from the men.
Slightly better than E1

The dog is gone!

Warning: Spoilers
The show gives up the super cute dog which at this point was the main reason to watch the show. On top of that some of the characters expose themselves as heartless monsters who don't even try to keep their dog but make it find a new home/pack. Heartbreaking! All empathy for these characters is gone!
