Ed Sheeran: Perfect (2017 Music Video) User Reviews

Nothing perfect about this one, quite the opposite in fact

"Ed Sheeran: Perfect" is the music video for the song Perfect by Ed Sheeran and this one runs for under 5 minutes and it is not an old work at all. It came out in November 2017 and like other stuff by Sheeran and also especially by Macklemore and Lewis, this was directed by Jason Koenig again. It is about a young man making skiing holidays with his girlfriend. And some of her male all handsome friends of course, which is supposed to show us how desired she is by everybody. And how lucky Sheeran can be to have her and how special he must be to have her too, which is what the teenage girls will think, those who are fangirling hard over him. Another music video by Sheeran where we are led to believe his normal looks are made up for by his talent and dedication and it is supposed to inspire all us normal guys that we can achieve the same. The only problem is that Sheeran is genuinely mediocre, always has been, always will be, an okay singing voice that can be elevated with the right equipment, but nothing that justifies his stardom. Feels really bad to see the defining music artists of this generation are so much worse than those from previous decades, even generations. Or maybe I am just too pessimistic and those who should be getting all the attention these days are not getting it because of "heart throbs" like Sheeran. The song is definitely borderline kitschy too. Initially, I wanted to give this two stars more, but I just can't. What were you thinking Zoey Deutch? You're better than that. And don't even get me started on those scenes in the snow where they definitely got stunt performers to fill in for the two lovebord (*cough*). Truly embarrssing stuff we got here from every perspective. Huge thumbs-down and you definitely don't want to check it out.
