Utter rubbish.
tthreadgill21 June 2018
I suppose a certain level of conspiracy theory nonsense is to be expected these days but this film is a tour de force of psuedo scientific hilarity. I found myself openly laughing at some of the silliness promoted in this film. One of my favorites was Brian O'Leary after his descent into quackdom, claiming that Carl Sagan doctored data to cover up the so-called "Cydonian Face" on Mars. Think about it... Carl Sagan was instrumental in promoting SETI, creating the Voyager Golden Record and the Sagan Paradox. To claim he was an opponent of alien life elsewhere in the universe is utterly unsupportable.

Don't waste your time on this intellecal black hole. You'll never get the hour of your life back.

Nothing to do with visual spectrums.
prolewriter13 July 2018
The description reads, "What if I told you that your eyes and your brain aren't fully capable to visualize what is happening around you in our universe, but NASA has extended the abilities of the human sight using technology. Perhaps then you would like to see what NASA has been filming in these invisible light spectrums." All of the bad grammar should have given it away but I jumped in with the anticipation of seeing things I never had. What I got instead was a UFO documentary. If you like UFO documentaries then this might be for you. I really don't know what makes this special because it seems like the same kind ex-NASA officials, Air Force officers, computer hackers, et al. claiming to have uncovered the truth. It's definitely not about seeing beyond the normal visual spectrum.

Good sample of the UFO crooks and nutcases
permaculture-4588519 February 2020
Warning: Spoilers
No, seriously, you must stop with interviewing crooks and nutcases. Each time there's a dust out of focus of a camera, these dumbos think it's a spacecraft from another dimension? Guess what ? It's dust.

Do not expect to see in this crap anything that fuzzy pictures, or pareidolia examples that have been debunked again, and again, and again. Cydonia face ? LOL Crop circles ? LMAO

All the space missions were equipped with state of the art cameras, and nothing but fuzzy thingies wandering here and there.

Eye Opening
echapman71 December 2017
I'm not an astronomer but I'm often skeptical of NASA's reflexively prosaic explanations of what appear to be anomalous objects captured by NASA's cameras in space. This probing documentary presents some alternative theories from independent thinkers and lets viewers decide whether they are truly pieces of plastic and ice or (gasp!) alien spacecrafts. It has some very interesting interview subjects you don't often see on mainstream television who deserve to be heard.

A YouTube type video, with the usual rantings of people that should be medicated

Interesting start to what is hopefully a longer series.
csheff315 February 2018
Interesting start to what is hopefully a longer series. I got the sense while watching that this particular doc was covering one angle of a much larger body of information, focusing mainly on the light spectrum and how an understanding of that leads to re interpretation of various objects we see in motion within existing NASA footage. The project has a very ground level journalist sense to it, and I imagine it took a whole lot of hustle for a younger team to get into the rooms that they did and get the interviews and footage necessary to put this piece together, I sincerely hope to see more productions from them as they explore deeper into thus unanswered questions. If you're a fan of extraterrestrial investigations and similar brands of mystery solving journalism, or even just a sci fi buff, this is certainly a piece to watch and a documentary production team to follow.

It can't be ice particles, so IT MUST BE AN ALIEN SPACECRAFT
CelluloidCorsair5 January 2018
This probably only exists because it was laughed off YouTube.

If you can stand the 8 kbps underwater effect audio and ultra high definition 16 x 9 pixel (yes PIXELS, not ratio) video then you'll be treated to loads of irrefutable footage of black and grey squares as seen on Atari's Pong circa 1973, backed up by coma inducing interviews with charismatically challenged non-experts (with oscilloscope from a car boot sale in background) coming to zero conclusions other than 'we don't know so they must be hiding alien spacecraft'.

NASA will be in pieces when they realise they have been rumbled by the worst excuse for a documentary in history. It is inconceivable that real humans stole 54 no-deposit-no-return minutes of my life so IT MUST BE ALIEN SPACECRAFT.

The one star is for the camp teacher at the end who delivers the final knock-out blow of evidence to all sceptics left standing. You have been warned.

UPDATE: Message received from the director, Darcy Weir:

"I've just observed your slanderous review on my film Beyond The Spectrum. I would like to speak to you immediately. If you think this is funny or righteous, I would like to have a word with you."

No thanks, Darcy.

UFO fans will love this

A great UFO documentary to add to your collection if you are interested in the topic. The best ones have experts presenting important evidence related to their field of expertise and this doc is no different.

Space Junk
recycledstars23 April 2020
I actually thought this was going to have something to do with Chandra or something involving seeing beyond what our actual eyes can see. I was watching other actual science-based programs while doing other things and this started playing, so it took me a minute to realize what was going on. It has a very crop circles, flat earth, ancient aliens guy feel so I kept watching for a laugh. YIKES. So bad.

This sort of garbage belongs on YouTube along with other complete nonsense meant to appeal to conspiracy losers. Have other life forms visited our planet? I have no idea, but I would love to see something ANYTHING worth looking at. Nothing like that is in this "documentary." I don't think the idea of aliens is crazy, so it's not like that. But this thing is utter trash. NASA literally released all of these videos. If there was an actual conspiracy, they would still be buried. The videos are 99% nothing. Maybe 1% are "huh" but to make the leap to ALIEN CONSPIRACY is effing ludicrous. In one you could literally see actual space junk spinning. STUPID.

My dad worked for NASA for over 40 years. My grandfather and uncle as well. There certainly is classified information for completely uninteresting reasons. It's not a conspiracy. MANY astronauts have spoken PUBLICLY about weird things they saw. No one is however screaming ALIENS 🤦‍♀️😂

Watch this if you enjoy laughing at nutbags with a YouTube channel and a dream 😂

Compelling UFO argument
bgianci-790-77254013 June 2019
My girlfriend has a bit of an obsession when it comes to UFO's, so she was excited to watch this so we gave it a go. I've alway been a bit of a skeptic in this department but also skeptical of our own government and where it's interests lie. This doc presents some pretty compelling evidence and arguments that opened my eyes to the possibility. Bit of course this possibility will only be apparent to those that truly have an open mind and are not prone to propaganda... which is most people.

Footage I've never seen before.
metroran20 August 2019
Beyond The Spectrum" presents some very interesting images of UFOs. I don't believe or not believe in life on other planets and the fact that they're buzzing around earth. As Darcy Weir posits in this film, perhaps they are here and we can't see them because of our limited spectrum of sight. Either way, there's some very new and official footage in this film that gets you thinking and keeps your attention. I love watching docs about the subject matter.

Good entry into the UFO subgenre
thejhorton4 January 2020
I enjoyed this documentary about Unidentified Flying Objects. Using footage captured by Nasa, and interviews with experts and Astronauts, it gives you a pretty clear view that there definitely are things flying around in our planet (and beyond) that remain unexplained - and if they have been explained, the standard line can pretty much be debunked. Very interesting!

Very well produced and written
bindeezel21 June 2018
Thoroughly enjoyed the production value of this documentary. Massive amounts of video, proof, interviews, etc. and the messages shared didn't feel like you were being sold on what they want you to believe. Similar videos promise big discoveries and usually under deliver, but this film deliveries - I really feel like I saw new material without the same recycled items you see in other documentaries. Enjoy!

I thoroughly enjoyed this documentary about UFOs. And I'm not taling little green men - just literally Unidentified Flying Objects. Using footage captured by Nasa, and interviews with experts and Astronauts, it gives you a pretty clear view that there definitely are things flying around in our atmsophere (and beyond) that remain unexplained - and if they have been explained, the standard line can pretty much be debunked. Very interesting!

Interesting Documentary!
freyamoran20 November 2019
This had so many interesting facts I had not been privy to before. This was a cool documentary to watch. This is the kind of documentary that are the fun and interesting ones to watch because they bring to question what a lot of people don't talk about, or is under the radar. I think they did a great job of putting this together.
