It could have a good story, pretty exciting, about teenagers , a summer camp and a great competition between boys and girls, But the plays were so bad. It was not a good comedy. the story is not attractive at all. choosing the actors is so wrong. the sroy needs to be more united. It was a middle-class movie completely which waste our time and not truly enjoyable.

90s cheese

I went to camp back in the 80s & 90s, and this brought me back to a very different time in the world. I also remember watching movies like this back then that looked this way too like Grease and Meatballs. It was more about funny characters hanging out and teenagers who didn't know anything yet. I think that's what I miss, was not know the future yet, and little things seemed important. I think the budget of this film must have been a lot lower than other films, but that didn't stop me from laughing. Good fun!
sorry but i...

Cant give a thumb up to this congregation of teenage summercamp rump, that is badly executed , acted and directed, pieced together by an editor with far to little materal to work on due to a one take strategy that doesnt work at all, where the action starts 3 secs after the camera is on, and where the jokes are some humble and bad that i got a bad stomach from watching instead of a good laugh...
this is a try to rewind back to the good old 80'and 90's summercamp films with courtious flirtation and practical jokes and leading personel with frenzy nerves. but its a total miss. the storybook and plot is so darn cautious and afraid of consequence that its frustrating. a 2 for some kids that try, the rest is just fodder for the grumpy old man.a no recommend

Canada has a continuing supply of movies made only through funding from tax funded agencies and compelled exhibitors. Few attract theatre audiences, but some appear on television to meet domestic content requirements.
Boys vs. Girls would be one of these. The script, direction and performances have something in common: lameness.
Actors portraying kids are as close to 30 as to their time as teenagers. But that's common in low budget examples of the vacation camp genre. I shudder to imagine Louis Malle using 26-year-olds as the leads in Au Revoir les Enfants.
Do not be fooled by high ratings. Those are likely provided by friends and family.

A lot of funny jokes throughout the whole film

There weren't any big scenes that had full laugh out loud moments, but there was a lot of little jokes throughout the whole film that made it fun to keep on going. Budget seemed low, but the jokes made up for any of that. Good watch.
What the heck happened to the poster?

The film itself is a mediocre "camp" rehash, but can we talk about the trainwreck that is the poster. Somebody photoshopped this thing so hard that half of the actors look like they are made out of yellow wax. There is no uniformity in the lighting between people supposedly in the same scene, and the obviousness of the cut and paste work is jarring to say the least. I am shook
Camp cult classic?

I read an interview were the person said this is up there with Meatballs and W.H.A.S. so I had to check it out. It's pretty good. A lot of funny things in here that for sure take me back to the good old days. The budget seemed lower than most, but they had Colin Mochrie and Kevin McDonald in it from K.I.T.H. so they must have had some money. The last scene in the movie makes it worth it too.
Great Job!

I was truly looking forward to watching this film after a camp friend saw it a a film festival. It did not disappoint! So many things in here from my camp days. Wonder if it's still like this anymore?!?! If you're a camp person you'll love this and literally laugh-out-loud!

Camp comedy
golij-2428120 November 2021
I go to a summer camp in Ontario, and it is in some ways like this camp, but obviously very direct in some ways too. I saw this on Crave and it was very funny. Basically its a camp from a few years ago that I guess use to be set up for girls on half and boys on half. Then they have to go coed together for the first time. Obviously they don't get along at the start of the movie or actually for most of the movie, but then they come together to save the camp in the end. Its mostly about the characters and the relationships between the girls and the boys concilors. Its mostly just a bunch of funny scene and jokes that you would get more if you go to camp or have been to camp at least once. I would highly recommend if you are a camp person but still recommend if you are not, cause its still funny either way.
I miss the 90s!

This movie made think back to summer camp life in the 90s. A sweet summer treat year after year. Movies with genuine laugh out loud moments are a rare find these days and BvG had more than a few! It was a refreshing trip back in time.
