Mandy Ellis made a statement that Spectre gunships or "Spooky" do not operate in the daylight. In previous years that was true until 2012 when AC-130 gunships underwent upgrades that allowed them daytime operation. "Spooky" could have been called in to provide CAS after the helicopter crash.
Lt. Commander Blackburn says that they can't send in a QRF to reinforce Bravo team because their helicopters would be vulnerable to surface to air missiles, and that they have no other way to send reinforcements. One of JSOC's other Tier One SMU's is the Air Force's 24th STS, their pararescuemen are trained to operate in these exact circumstances, they fly over at high altitude out of SAM range and parachute in to both reinforce a unit under enemy fire and treat their wounded. If a JSOC team were in the circumstances that Bravo Team is in the 24th STS would be deployed to assist them.
