Although the story takes place at the fictional Bliss Valley ski area and the characters riff on the Bliss name throughout the film, during the ski race scenes, all of the canopies at the base of the mountain have the Manning Park name and logo clearly displayed, not Bliss Valley. Manning Park, BC is where the movie was filmed.
Before the race Anna's skis are purple, then she gets ready and skis off on turquoise skis. At the bottom of the race course her skis are purple again.
When Kat is driving into town, the grass is green and there is no snow in the yards of any of the houses she is driving by. Wide shots of the town show everything is snow covered.
The movie consistently refers to slalom skiing when in fact the race is a giant slalom which is a different kind of race.
