The Making of 'Himorogi' (2017)
*** (out of 4)
Co-director Alessio Pierro talks about his 2012 film HIMOROGI, which was developed as a homage to director Walerian Borowczyk. There's no question that Pierro is a very intelligent and deep-thinking person as this discussion is quite deep and makes you see the film in a new way. The director talks about why he wanted to do the project, what it was like working with his wife Marina and he also touches on several different technical things including the style of shooting as well as the stop-motion animation. If you're a fan of the film in question then you'll certainly enjoy this discussion on its making. The film also works quite well when Pierro is discussing Borowczyk and what impact his film had on him.
