Promising Pilot

Cast: 8% Cinematography: 9% Visuals/FX: 8% Music/Score: 8%

This is a very strong pilot. Lots to love on this new show and it looks very promising. I'm intrigued by the plot, a school for gangsters, future killers and manipulators; never seen that before, I gotta say. The cast looks great, they obviously have a specific demographic but it should lure older audiences with its gory theme, well-shot action sequences and that 80s nostalgia.

The characters have different personalities and it's very interesting to see how they will play out in Kings Dominion wherein shedding blood is definitely a daily requirement. In a normal school you may have cliques but in this school we have gangs and they're not messing around!

Newcomer Benjamin Wadsworth as Marcus plays his role with vulnerability and surprising strength and, most importantly, charm. He's obviously out-of-place in Kings Dominion without even an affiliated gang to be in but will he start his own gang or will he join one? The dark backdrop and 80s setting works very well and while I'm surprised to see this on SyFy I'm also glad that they do.

Can't wait for the 2nd episode

The feel of this show is so well done and gritty. The whole package of music, look and feel, actors skill has me wishing the next episode would drop sooner.

I will definitely be watching this the day it comes out.

It almost feels like a mixing of Magicians, Hogwarts, Big Trouble in Little China with a side of Henry Rollins!

Future CIA Hunter Killer Team Members
dncorp30 December 2018
The best place to get future nameless, no identity people as future Operators, from the Homeless, Orphans, Loners, Survivors, etc. that will be so grateful for anything. And they are already broken down mentally, like how U.S. Military Basic Combat Training breaks down the Civilian, and rebuilds them as a Soldier. Accuracy 7

CIA would probably save lots of money sending them to a School like this, instead of "The Farm" and would have "Credible Deniability" as far as Creating Trained Assassins also. Of course this would not be possible, since Non CIA are also attending, the CIA Graduates could be identified by other Nations Assassins that Graduated from the same School. Accuracy 2.

Unfortunately, this Series seems to be throwing in the Stereotypical "Heathers" High School kind of "Cliques" or Prison Gangs Mentality. Real Assassins usually are "Individualists", by conditioning and training work as individuals, not Teams or Groups, they are trained to operate as Teams and Groups and will rarely operate as Teams and Groups only if Absolutely Necessary, and will more than likely hate that Mission. Reason why NOT Teams nor Groups, easier to be detected, identified by Counter Intelligence, Counter Terrorist, Special Warfare, Security Forces, other Assassins doing Security, Accuracy 3.

Entertainment Value 6. Amusing to see what audience thought of this first episode. What people believe.

Very on Par with the Comic-book series

Since the third volume was released of Deadly Class I've been a strong supporter of the series. And when I heard they were working on a show I was very excited.

When I heard the the pilot was released early, I watched it immediately and I was on the edge of my seat the whole episode. They've done an excellent job of sticking close to the comics. All of the characters are exactly how I want them to be and I couldn't be happier with with this show.

If you're a fan of the comics, I guarantee you will be happy with how they're doing the show. The soundtrack, the acting, the suspense, the characters, the ambience... everything is perfect and exactly how I pictured the show would be.

And if you're considering giving this show a shot, it's definitely worth the watch. By the ending of this episode, you're just going to want more.
