- Three concurrent surgeries at the hospital push its staff to the limits. Determined to ease the pressure, Nic requests Jude for one of the operations, making Conrad jealous. Meanwhile, Dr. Lane Hunter sets out to discredit Nic's claims, Devon struggles with a patient who has an embarrassing problem and a charitable contributor comes to the hospital wanting to donate a lot of money to Dr. Lane's oncology program.—Fox
- Devon finds many staff colleagues' "favorite patient" York Evans a hazing nightmare, as the quaint, queer professor runs a rating blog, as usual requires help removing an improbable object inserted in his rectum, disapproves of gloved Devon's 'humorless' professionalism and this time used an object part of which broke off, so he still needs rectal surgery. Chief Bell accepts, after feeble protestation, the administrator's project to 'optimize OR use' by scheduling concurrent surgeries. Forseeing dangerous complications, Conrad and Nic arrange for Jude to operate a patient instead, only to see him replaced. Thus Bell, Devon, overworked surgeon Bradley Jenkins who already turned a 30 hours shift and Mina spread themselves too thin over three patients and the nurses get confused, leading to disasters, one worse then a man's sex life cut short as his last healthy testicle is removed instead of the rotten one. Yet Bell talks his way out with Mina in the dock at the preventive 'medical conference'.—KGF Vissers
