I watched the pilot episode of the show with very high expectations. The premise is promising - virtual reality but with a new twist And i recognized three actors including the lead that I really liked in many previous roles.
Sadly, my expectations were not met. None of the actors seemed comfortable in their roles, and the plot was barely engaging. Looking back, I see that a lot of time was spent on exposition that was necessary given the complexity of the premise
So I've been waiting for this episode all week, knowing that it was going to make or break the series for me. And lo and behold, everything that disappointed me about the pilot was out standing in this episode. Characters and their back stories were developing nicely, and the main episode plot line was well written and acted.
And so I am very much looking forward to episode three. I'd be happy if it was just as good as this one, but I'm hoping it will be even better.
