Shortly after Joy's abortion, she is served a plate of pasta. When Virginia tells her that she will be sad and that this is normal, there is red sauce on top of the noodles. After the next cut, the sauce is completely mixed in with the pasta.
The film is set in 1968. In a scene early on in the film, in which Gwen is picking up Joy, a house in the background has solar panels.
At 31:30, Joy calls the Jane helpline. Later, she is taken to the place with her eyes covered. Anyone can get the address associated with a telephone number making covering the eyes moot.
