This short was vile and disgusting, I loved it!
Foreverisacastironmess1233 September 2020
A man who is infected with some manner of otherworldly malevolence that corrupts his mind and indeed horribly mutates his body, ultimately compels him to venture into a movie theatre where it hideously releases itself from his swollen 'pregnant' stomach, and lets loose a cloud of spores to carry out the unholy cycle en masses and repeat it's number... So this sure turned out to be a seriously bizarre and graphic horror short and it certainly took me by surprise and made me wonder what the heck I had just watched! And that was actually something I appreciated because I like that I can still see horror related things that can surprise me! I think they call this kind of thing lovecraftian. It's great but I wish it had gone on a bit more as it feels like you're only getting the tail-end of the man's hellish fate. What definitely stands out the most about it is the extremely gross and wince-inducing fleshy practical effects work. We have a man bite off the flesh of his thumb, and yank out his tooth, but the big standout is when the man releases the slimy evil force that's been brewing inside him and it painfully grows out of a certain part of his body before 'blooming', it's truly gotta be one of the grossest horror shorts ever made, it leaves you feeling so icky and a little creeped out about what you could be breathing in out there...especially now! Very good messed up short that is a curious mix of the absolutely disgusting, and satisfying! 🌷

I'm not okay

Warning: Spoilers
I'm afraid this has scarred me for life. I kind of want to shoot myself in the head after watching it. I guess this is a good thing because that was the aim, wasn't it? To the creators, thank you for ruining my life. I will never be the same. I think it will be a while before I get to experience this level of cosmic horror again. Very well done, maximum chills and I hope the aliens never find us.

the host

The subject is familiar. Maybe, too familiar. An ancient creature. A single man becoming its host. Phsycal metamorphosis, with dramatic consequences. Good sound, nice performance, the accident giving sense to an ordinary life. The end is not, too, a surprise. But the usual "well crafted" becomes more in this case because you feel each scene as a mix of pain and happiness , scene by scene, level by level, feeling the thrill of old fashion horrors of "50 s .
