When the corpse Murdoch investigates doesn't prove the missing person Watts was looking for, it becomes soon clear that half of the obituaries in a Toronto paper are 'lethal pranks', announcing deaths that haven't (yet?) occurred, mainly staged as accidents. The while precinct goes investigate who is really dead, if their are links and invite the survivors to the station for their own protection. Watts comes on the list and grudgingly accepts safe 'inner duty', but all the others become prime suspects themselves after nun Annamaria dies from poison tea John personally made for her. The case seemed cracked with confession as everything ties up around a bloody bank robbery, but Murdoch and Crabtree lust rush to prevent another murder.
